First Pen Pal Letter

We received our first pen pal letters in the mail!! We were so excited to finally hear from our pen pals and be able to write back to them! A lot of the kiddos found out they have tons of things in common with their pen pal already, they were all so excited!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fall Frolic

Friday was our Fall Frolic!! The kids were so excited all day to get in their costumes. We had so much fun putting on a parade for all our wonderful families!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skittles Day

Today was Skittles Day for Red Ribbon Week and 2nd grade wore yellow! We had some fun during Fundations today and wrote words with suffixes on our big chart part. A lot of us chose to do Halloween words!! We also did a Haunted House drawing activity. They had to follow each step and add on to their Haunted House. Expanding and Combining Sentences AND Pen Pals!

Today we did some fun rotations that focused on expanding and combining sentences. We combined some scary Halloween sentences and expanded sentences I had written on sentence strips. We also started writing our first letter to our pen pals! Today we just got done introducing ourselves and tomorrow we will begin writing our first letter. 2nd grade had a blast already and were so excited to find out the name of their pen pal!
