If I Were Trapped In a Snowglobe...

We worked on some fun writing last week. They got to write about what they would do if there were trapped in a snowglobe! Then they drew themselves in a snowglobe to go along with their writing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Craft Day and More

December was a month full of holiday fun! Our last day before break 2nd grade had a big craft day! Each class rotated through all the 2nd grade teachers and got to make different holiday crafts. Thanks to one of our awesome moms I got pictures from the kids in the other classrooms as well! Also check out our classroom elf Little Claus that was with us the whole month of December, he definitely was up to no good some days but the kids loved him and were sad to see him go.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also did a candy cane experiment to see what happened to a candy cane in warm water, cool water, and vinegar.

Christmas Fun

For our Christmas bulletin board we decorated our own gingerbread men and today we made multiplication Santas!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We have been learning our 2's, 5's, and 10's times tables. We completed times tables and then glued them onto Santa's beard! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elf!

Our classroom elf got delivered today! Mrs.Frederick brought it to our classroom, it was delivered straight from the North Pole (the box was even cold). We voted on a name and decided on Little Claus. He was already busy moving around our room today. While the students were at special he even fixed the lights on our classroom tree (they wouldn't turn on this morning) but Little Claus had the magic touch. We are also going to record each day in our elf journal what Little Claus is up to!
